Duncan Gray
Trainee Solicitor
“I was attracted to Fenchurch Law because of its reputation for high-quality work, combined with an innovative and dynamic culture. What really stood out to me was their individualised approach, both in the service they provide to clients and in how they develop their people. As someone who came into law through a non-traditional route, that made a real difference.”
As a Trainee Solicitor at Fenchurch Law, Duncan is developing his legal career at a firm dedicated exclusively to policyholder insurance disputes. Since joining in September 2025, he has drawn on his extensive background in the construction industry, applying his specialist knowledge and experience to his role.
Before joining Fenchurch Law, Duncan worked predominantly for engineering consultants, undertaking structural engineering design. He has also worked on-site as a resident engineer and for tier one contractors in design management roles. More recently, he has been appointed as an expert witness on several matters, providing opinions on structural engineering aspects.
Duncan holds a BEng in Civil Engineering from the University of Bath, an MSc in Structural Engineering from Imperial College London, and an MSc in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution from King’s College London. He is also a Chartered Structural Engineer and a member of the Institute of Structural Engineers.
