Simran is a Solicitor Apprentice at Fenchurch Law and is the first apprentice to be join the team.
Over the course of her 6-year-Apprenticeship, Simran will assist each Practice Group and the Operations and Business Development teams. She will also be completing an LLB in Legal Practice and Skills with her SQE 1 & 2.
Simran completed her A-Levels at Townley Grammar School prior to joining Fenchurch Law.

Pawinder Manak

Anthony McGeough

Anthony is a Senior Associate Solicitor specialising in coverage disputes with a particular focus on property losses and commercial/financial risks.
Anthony began his career as a trainee at BLM, acting for insurers in coverage and liability disputes in relation to construction, professional negligence and EL/PL matters. He then moved to Edwin Coe as an Associate and focused on property and business interruption coverage disputes with insurers. His work often included: misrepresentation and non-disclosures; breaches of conditions and warranties; claims in which there were accusations of fraud or dishonesty.
Anthony studied law at Sussex University before completing his LPC at BPP (Holborn). Anthony is a member of the British Insurance Law Association and the Law Society’s Junior Lawyers Division.

Our Senior Partner, David, is one of a handful of lawyers recommended by both Chambers and the Legal 500 for representing policyholders in insurance coverage disputes. He is individually ranked in Band 1 of Chambers & Partners for representing policyholders in insurance disputes and is ranked as a Leading Individual in the UK in that field by Legal 500. Legal 500 says that he is “always thinking one step ahead” and describes him as “a very bright and capable litigator with real tactical nous” and “an incredibly smart and experienced insurance lawyer who is not afraid to go toe-to-toe with anyone in the industry”. Chambers says “David is an absolutely fantastic strategic thinker” and that “he is right at the top of his game and exceptional at what he does.”
Before founding Fenchurch Law in 2010, David was a Partner in a boutique law firm that specialised in advising insurers in relation to insurance coverage issues and professional indemnity claims.
As well as being responsible for running the firm, David also leads our International Risks group. His work involves representing policyholders in relation to claims under Construction All Risks, Design & Build Professional Indemnity, Latent Defects and Third Party Liability policies. He regularly deals with disputes involving “damage vs defect” issues, “design vs workmanship” issues, and the proper interpretation of ‘DE’ and ‘LEG’ defects exclusions.
He also advises policyholders and brokers with regard to cyber insurance wordings and disputes, including identifying gaps and overlaps between cyber and non-cyber insurance programmes and advising in relation to ‘silent cyber’ issues. David represented the policyholder in one of the first major ‘silent cyber’ insurance claims in the London market.
David is a Solicitor Advocate with rights of audience in all Higher Courts in England & Wales, a member of the British Insurance Law Association and the Society of Construction Law, and is a Vice-Chair of the Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee of the American Bar Association, where he focuses in particular on promoting cooperation and sharing best practice between UK and US policyholder advocates.

Daniel Robin

Daniel is the firm’s Deputy Managing Partner and leads our Financial and Professional Risks practice group. Daniel acts for a number of leading national and multi-national organisations, and has acted for Policyholders in a number of high-profile cases in the Commercial Court. He specialises in advising policyholders on professional indemnity and property risks and uses his experience of nearly a decade working in and acting for the London insurance market to assist policyholders in achieving the best possible outcome in their insurance disputes.
In addition, Daniel heads the firm’s Leeds Office, with a focus on expanding the firm’s presence in the North of England.
Daniel graduated with a Law degree from Leeds Beckett University, before achieving a distinction in his LPC. He began his career as a claims handler, acting under a delegated authority for a number of major insurers in the London Market and internationally. Daniel then spent 7 years working for Robin Simon/Triton Global as a trainee and then solicitor, specialising in defending professional indemnity claims against solicitors, valuers, accountants, property managers and other insurance and construction professionals and giving coverage advice to insurers on construction, solicitors and cross-border insurance disputes. Prior to joining Fenchurch Law in 2018, he worked as an Associate at DWF, specialising in professional indemnity and insurance litigation.
Daniel is a member of the British Insurance Law Association.

Michael Robin

Michael Robin is a partner, with over 45 years of experience in handling complex claims across the international insurance market. Michael has a particular focus on Financial and Professional Risks.
Michael joined Fenchurch Law from global legal services firm DWF, where he was Partner in the Professional Liability and Commercial Insurance Disputes team, and is well known in the insurance market as a founding partner of Robin Simon.
Michael has acted in some of the largest and most high-profile cases to come before the UK Courts or arbitration panels, involving sums in excess of £5 billion. Michael has taken over 100 cases to trial.
Chambers & Partners has descried Michael as “an extremely sophisticated lawyer”, and he is regularly commended for the quality and precision of his advice to clients.

Alex Rosenfield

Alex Rosenfield is a Partner specialising in insurance disputes for policyholders. Alex is part of the Fenchurch Law’s Construction and Property Risks team, and has a particular focus on high-value, complex property damage claims and claims under building defect policies.
A significant amount of Alex’s caseload involves disputes under the Insurance Act 2015 – often in relation to breaches of the Duty of Fair Presentation – and Alex is regularly invited to deliver public seminars on Insurance Act 2015 principles.
Alex has also developed a niche in claims involving alleged breaches of hot works conditions, and has recently written an article on the subject, click here to view.
Prior to joining Fenchurch Law, Alex trained at a Manchester firm which specialised in insurance coverage disputes (again, acting exclusively for policyholders), and gained insurance coverage exposure on a mix of fire, flood, and theft claims. He then joined Elborne Mitchell, a specialist insurance practice in the heart of the London insurance market.
His recent cases include:
- Representing the freeholder and leaseholders of an apartment block in connection with claims against building defect insurers. Those include claims for combustible cladding, other fire safety defects, and structural defects.
- Acting for an industry leader in the provision of surface treatment in connection with a substantial claim against its Public Liability insurers.
- Acting for a construction company in connection with a claim against its Public Liability insurers following a significant fire at its customer’s premises.
- Acting for the owners of a Ukrainian wind farm which was seized by Russian forces in 2022.
- Acting for a main contractor seeking a recovery from its insolvent cladding sub-contractor’s professional indemnity insurers, following the discovery of significant water ingress and fire safety defects at a development.
Away from his practice, Alex is a member of the Society of Construction Law, the British Insurance Law Association and the London Business Interruption Association.

- Working alongside teams in the UAE, Jordan and Hong Kong on behalf of one of the largest UAE banks in a dispute arising out of the restructuring of a large integrated private healthcare provider.

Prior to joining Fenchurch Law, Abigail worked as an Associate in the Financial Services Disputes and Investigations team at Eversheds. She specialised in resolving high value and complex insurance disputes on behalf of policyholders, brokers and other large corporates.

Natalie Sulma

Natalie is a PA and Operations Assistant. She works closely with the Practice Manager to provide administrative support to the fee earners. Natalie also ensures the smooth running of our London office.
Prior to Fenchurch Law, Natalie began her career in an administrative role at a property management company. Natalie graduated from the University of Hull with a first-class degree in Criminology with Psychology, before completing a Post Graduate Diploma in Law at BPP University.
