Solicitor Apprenticeships
We are a proud member of the City Century Solicitor Apprenticeship programme, hoping to attract new talent into the legal industry through non-traditional routes.
We are looking for individuals interested in a career in the legal side of the insurance industry.
Suitable candidates will be Year 13 students (or equivalent) and school leavers who have not completed a degree.
Programme Details
Location: London
Start Date: September 2024
Length of Contract: Six years
Work/Study pattern: One day of study/four days on-the-job training
Qualifications to be obtained: LLB Law Degree and SQE Qualification to become an England & Wales Solicitor
Eligibility: Predicted AAB at A- Level or equivalent is desired. However, we are open and happy to consider candidates who do not meet that criteria but are able to demonstrate academic suitability through the application process.

Application Process
Stage 1: Submit CV and Covering Letter.
The covering letter should answer the following questions:
- What interests you about a career in insurance?
- What specifically attracted you to Fenchurch Law?
- Why do you think you would be a good fit for Fenchurch Law?

Stage 2: Watson Glaser Assessment
- Candidates must complete and achieve a satisfactory mark in order to be considered for the next stage.
Stage 3: Interview
- If you are successful in stages 1 & 2 you will be invited to either an in-person or video interview with senior members of the team.
- The purpose of this interview is to establish whether you would be a good fit for Fenchurch Law and similarly if we think Fenchurch Law is the right place for you to start your career.
- Please note that we are a niche firm so interest in the type of work we do is essential.
Stage 4: Assessment Day
- Candidates that are selected for the Assessment Day will be invited to our London office for a day working with the rest of the team.
- Candidates will be given a number of discrete tasks which have been chosen to replicate the work they would do if they were successful.
- The successful candidate will have demonstrated a good grasp of the tasks provided and alignment with Fenchurch Law values.
